As Ironproject approaches its 4th year with more members and more supporters online, we would like to say a big thank you for all the support so far. We have seen so many members cross the finish line of their first 70.3 and full ironman, looking back at our race photo albums really brings back great memories.
Club Rainbow (Singapore)
We are taking a slightly different direction this season; choosing to focus our efforts on one charity this season, Club Rainbow Singapore (CRS).
A quick intro to what Club Rainbow; they provide help to children who are suffering from a range of chronic and life-threatening illnesses and their families. They organize activities and camps for the kids; Jaime and I have volunteered at the camps and it’s really amazing and heart warming to see how much these kids enjoy themselves.
So from now till the grand finale (Ride of Rainbows 2016), we will be pledging all our donations to CRS. We will also be coordinating with them and try to volunteer at some of their events in the coming year.
Our first line up will be the boys who will be heading to Busselton for IMWA in 2 weeks time. Jaime and I will be heading down to support and scream our lungs out to keep them on their toes. They have put in a long hours of training in the past few months (which also means more donation from them :)), and all these sweat blood and tears will definitely carry them through the race safely in one piece.
A big shout out to first timers, Anthony, Brandem and Bryan. It’ll be their very first ironman; soak in the whole experience guys, it’ll be well worth the pain.
